### What does dilisense do?

dilisense consolidates information from 9,000+ official sources across sanctions, PEP, criminal watchlists and adverse media, allowing you to screen a person or organisation from a single interface. It covers sources including OFAC, the EU, UN Security Council, UK HMT and other national/regulatory sources.

It’s primarily designed for AML/KYC and compliance screening, but the searchable data can also be useful during OSINT investigations when establishing whether an individual or organisation appears on sanctions, PEP or criminal-watchlist sources.

**The lowdown:** It’s a centralised risk-screening tool that’s useful for quickly checking whether an investigative subject appears in relevant official or risk databases.

### How to Use:

**1. Enter the name of the person or organisation you’re researching into the search bar.**

**2. Review the returned matches, paying attention to the source, list type, jurisdiction and identifying information to determine whether a result actually relates to your subject.**&#x20;

Free web searches are available without registration. Paid plans provide additional capabilities such as API access, higher-volume screening, monitoring and adverse-media screening.

The site uses Stripe payment/security cookies, Google Analytics cookies, advertising/conversion cookies (Google/Reddit), and a cookie-consent management cookie. These primarily support payment security, website analytics, advertising attribution and management of cookie preferences.

dilisense can be used to:

The UK Government's [Economic Crime Survey 2024](https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/economic-crime-survey-2024/economic-crime-survey-2024) explicitly mentions dilisense as a third-party service used by surveyed businesses for sanctions and PEP screening.

**Important Note:** a dilisense match should not automatically be treated as proof that the result relates to your subject. Similar names can produce false positives, so the result should be checked against identifiers such as date of birth, nationality, location, organisation, aliases or other available information.&#x20;

* Preserve the source, URL, date/time and relevant identifiers supporting your finding.
* Consider false positives: Names, transliterations and aliases can produce misleading matches.
