### What does LiveATC do?
LiveATC provides live and archived audio feeds of air traffic control communications from airports and airspace around the world. Audio is collected from a global network of volunteer-operated radio receivers that capture publicly broadcast VHF aviation frequencies.
You can monitor communications between pilots and air traffic controllers, including taxi clearances, departures, arrivals, emergency responses and other operational activity. Many major airports also provide archive recordings, allowing investigators to review historical communications after an incident.
**The lowdown:** While flight tracking services show where an aircraft travelled, LiveATC can reveal why it was diverted, delayed or prioritised, as well as communications relating to emergencies, security incidents or unusual operations.

**2. Select the desired frequency and listen to live or archived communications where available.**
