### What does OSINTracker do?

OSINTracker is an investigation management and visualisation platform designed for OSINT analysts, journalists, researchers, and investigators. It enables users to create structured investigations by linking people, organisations, domains, usernames, emails, IP addresses, events, and other entities into an interactive relationship graph. Investigation data is stored locally in the browser rather than on an external server.

**The lowdown:** It focuses on structuring and documenting investigations rather than collecting data itself.

### How to Use:

**1. Open OSINTracker and create a new investigation.**

**3. Use built-in resources and connectors to enrich entities, import results from supported OSINT services, analyze connections, and export findings as HTML, Markdown, CSV, JSON, or PNG graph images.**

**Note:** You can import OSINT Industries data into OSINTracker.

### Use in Reporting

OSINTracker is used in reporting to:

* Create clear visual link-analysis charts.
* Demonstrate relationships between entities.
* Support intelligence reporting and case management.
* Provide exportable evidence structures.
* Help maintain audit trails and source attribution.
* Support briefing packs and investigative summaries.

The platform is primarily aimed at helping investigators organise entities, relationships, evidence, and findings rather than acting as a standalone intelligence collection tool.

| Maps relationships between entities and events. | Relies on analyst input and external OSINT sources. |
| Supports multiple entity types (people, orgs, domains, IPs, emails etc). | Browser-based storage may create challenges for team collaboration. |
| Stores investigation data locally for improved privacy. | Advanced analysis still requires investigator interpretation. |

### Summary

OSINTracker is best viewed as an investigation management and link-analysis platform rather than a data collection tool. Its strengths lie in organising, visualising, and documenting investigative findings while maintaining local control of investigation data. It’s particularly useful for analysts who need a structured way to manage complex investigations and produce professional reports.

### Ownership

OSINTracker is privately owned and was created by French IT multimedia professional and OSINT analyst [Matthieu Amiot](https://fic.app.swapcard.com/widget/event/forum-incyber-2024/person/RXZlbnRQZW9wbGVfMjg3MjQwNTA=).

### Ethical Considerations

* Verify all findings before drawing conclusions.
* Avoid confirmation bias when mapping relationships.
* Ensure compliance with privacy and data protection laws.
* Distinguish verified facts from investigative hypotheses.
* Maintain proper source attribution and evidential integrity.
* Use only for lawful and legitimate investigative purposes.
