### What does RedditMetis do?

RedditMetis pulls together a user’s public Reddit activity and turns it into a digestible profile with detailed analytics. It highlights most-used words, active subreddits, posting frequency, sentiment, and even generates light “personality” insights.

Whilst it’s not forensic-grade analysis (and shouldn’t be treated as such), it’s great for quickly understanding who an account is, what they care about, and how they behave online.

**The lowdown:** It’s ideal for quickly profiling accounts and spotting patterns.

### How to Use:

**1. Go to the RedditMetis website and enter the target’s Reddit username (no u/ needed).**

**2. Review the generated analysis including; ‘posts by weekday’:**

**‘Subreddit breakdown’:**

**And ‘comment statistics’:**

**Note:** The platform can be a little temperamental in terms of not cooperating with certain plugins/ad blockers.

| **Capabilities** | **Limitations** |
| ------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Fast analysis of Reddit user activity. | Only works on public Reddit data due to Reddit limitations, only the last 1000 comments and posts can be analysed. |
| Identifies most active subreddits. | Analysis can be simplistic or misleading (especially ‘personality’ traits). |
| Extracts commonly used words and phrases. | No direct evidence export or archiving tools. |
| Basic sentiment and tone analysis. | Not suitable for high-confidence attribution on its own. |
| Highlights posting frequency and patterns. |

                                                                                                        |

### Summary

RedditMetis is a lightweight OSINT tool for quickly understanding a Reddit user’s behaviour and interests. It’s best used during early analysis to generate leads and patterns, but should always be backed up with manual verification.

### Ownership

Not publicly documented. According to the About page on the website, “RedditMetis is a community insights tool inspired by [u/orionmelt](https://reddit.com/user/orionmelt) ’s now‑defunct site, SnoopSnoo. When SnoopSnoo stopped working in 2019 due to API issues, RedditMetis was created as an alternative. It builds on a modified version of Sherlock, u/orionmelt’s original user analysis tool.”

### Ethical Considerations

* Only analyse publicly available Reddit data.
* RedditMetis generates inferred traits (e.g. personality, sentiment). These can be oversimplified or wrong, so don’t present them as fact.
* Be cautious with attribution. Correlation is not proof,
* The tool’s analysis reflects built-in assumptions (e.g. keyword weighting, sentiment models). Be aware of hidden bias in outputs.
* Respect user privacy and context of posts.
